Avery Dennison headquartered in Glendale, California is a global materials science company specializing in the design and manufacturing of a wide variety of labelling and functional materials.

The company products used in nearly major industry include pressure sensitive materials for label and graphic solutions, tapes and other bonding solution for industrial, medical and retail applications, tags, label and embellishments for apparels and radio frequency identification (RFID) solution.

Avery Dennison Malaysia started its operations in July 2002 with the manufacturing plant located in Bandar Baru Bangi and distribution centre in Bandar Teknologi Kajang.

In April 2020, Avery Dennison acquired Smartrac and the plant is based in Kulim, Kedah.
